About

Sarah Roche is an educational sociologist and urbanist. She currently serves as a post-doctoral fellow at Emory University where she conducts research on social connectivity, public schools, and neighborhoods. Previously she had a career in educational consulting and management working in and with school districts up and down the east coast. As a small-town girl from Georgia, Dr. Roche is passionate about building the capacity of overlooked places and people, particularly when that means improved educational opportunities for children and youth. In her spare time, she enjoys reading science fiction and being outdoors with family and friends.
